What Happened Next?

After wondering which was human and which was pig, we finally gave up comparing and we went back to work. I knew that this was a bad sign and that we were going back to Jones days, but I don't really care anymore. Anyway, after many many more years later after that incident, we animals all went back to doing all our usual stuff, working, the pigs, as usual, still enjoying life. My animal friends all started dying one by one, because of the hard work in the farm. In fact, I feel a little bit weak now. Maybe I am also on the verge of death. I do not really care now, and maybe dying might not be a bad thing. Life is bad here, and maybe Sugarcandy Mountain actually exists! No one can tell if it really exists, until you die. Ouch... I'm feeling a lot of pain in my lung. I think i'm going to go soon... Many people don't get to say a proper goodbye. So i'm going to say goodbye now... Bye...

Years passed......

No one remembered the old days before the Rebellion, except Clover, Moses, some pigs and I. We all clearly know that Jones's days were a lot better than this. No animal had retired, as I had expected. Squealer was really fat, and Napoleon was a mature boar of twenty-four stone. The farm had three more horses, but they are all very stupid too. The farm was more prosperous now, and the windmill was successfully completed, and did the windmill help us reduce work? No... It was used to mill corn to earn money. I had expected this. The pigs and dogs still did not work, and they ate a lot. Our lives went on badly, but the animals still are proud because they are the only farm which is governed by animals. Slowly the pigs started to walk on its hind legs. All of them. The stupid sheep started saying, "Four legs good, two legs better". Clover asked me to read the Commandments on the wall, and it was changed to "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others". The pigs soon all carried whips in the trotters, and they were arranging to install a telephone. The pigs even wore Jones's clothes. Soon, humans came into the farm, and the pigs and the humans were actually together at a table, chatting and playing cards. The name, Animal Farm, was also changed back to Manor Farm. Slowly after that, when we looked from man to pig, and pig to man, we could not even tell which was which.

I was correct. Life will never change, and it has not!
We are actually going back to Jones days here.

Fall of Boxer

Soon, Boxer's hoof healed up, and he worked harder than ever. I warned him to take care of his health, but as usual, he pain no attention. Soon, Boxer fell. He was on his side, unable to get up. He said that he had been looking forward to his retirement, and maybe I could join him. How can he be so naive, would a ruthless leader like Napoleon acutally let animals retire? He will most likely sell us instead! The other animals went to tell Squealer about what happened, while Clover and I stayed back, and I kept the flies off Boxer. Squealer came back saying that Boxer would be sent to the hospital to be treated. Boxer remained in his stall, eating pink medicine, and I continued to keep the flies off him. At this point in time, I totally changed. I was galloping and excited, going to tell the animals that Boxer was being taken away. I'd never thought I would acutally be so active. The animals actually said goodbye to Boxer, and I scolded them and told them what was on the van. Boxer was going to a Horse Slaughterer. We tried to get Boxer to kick out of the van, but Boxer was weak and he failed to do so, and Boxer was never seen again. Squealer said he died in the hospital, but I think that they actually sold him to get money. He gave his excuses as to why the van said Horse Slaughterer.

Battle Of The Windmill

Life is becoming very bad, just as I had expected. Beasts of England was even forbidden to be sung, and the pig Minimus had composed another song. Squealer changes more Commandments, gives fake figures showing that their food supply had increased. I remember very well what Jones days was like. It was even better than now. But the blur animals can't remember and they think life is better. Napoleon named the finally completed windmill after himself, "Napoleon Mill". Napoleon got tricked by Frederick's banknotes, and the notes were fake. Soon, Frederick came to destroy the windmill of explosives, the animals started to charge towards the humans to attack them, but the battle was harder now, with more guns to face. Soon, the animals were all driven back, and the humans packed blasting powder into the windmill. Boom, the windmill was gone, and the animals got back their courage and attacked the humans and managed to drive them off. There were many deaths, but my friend Boxer killed three men. After the battle, for some reason, news came that Napoleon was dying, and the excuse was that Snowball poisoned his food. Later that night, a loud crash came from the yard, and Squealer was there on the floor with a ladder, a paintbrush and a bucket of paint. Squealer had been adding the words to the Commandments. My friend Boxer also became injured, thanks to his stupid motto. He split his hoof, and he actually does not want to rest even though he was in pain. Life is now really, really bad now. Maybe even three times worse than Jone's days. Napoleon gave himself practically almost all the kinds of privileges possible, including barley.

Executions

The farm is losing food, and the bins containing food is almost empty. Well, Napoleon tricked the humans in a pretty smart way. Soon, more trade was involved, wanted the hens to trade their eggs away. The hens didn't like it and they rather smash it instead of trade it away. Napoleon stopped the hens rations and whoever give the hens food would be killed. So far, nine hens have died. Now, every single bad thing which happens in the farm, the blame would be put on Snowball. Napoleon continues to blame Snowball and spoil his reputation, blah blah blah. I'm sick of Napoleons stupid brain-washing and excuses. I believe NOTHING will change. My good friend Boxer could have exposed Napoleon and his excuses, but because of his stupid mottoes, he didn't. I guess this was why Napoleon tried to kill my friend Boxer, although the attempt was a failure. Following this, he wanted the animals to confess their crimes and he would kill them for any small crime.

Napoleon's Rule

I knew this would be coming. Napoleon is a bad leader who is self-centred and does not care about the happiness about the animals. Instead, he brain-washes them to believe that they are helping themselves. Luckily, I'm smart enough to know that the pigs are tricking us. Sometimes I really wonder if I should tell to other animals what is happening. Currently, Napoleon is making us work a sixty hour week, including Sunday afternoons. To make himself look "kind" , he said that the work on Sundays was voluntary, but his rations would be halved. In the beginning of the building of the windmill, we did not know how to break up the stones, and animals could not use picks and crowbars. But we solved to problem by toppling the stones over the edge of the quarry to break it up. Well, my friend Boxer, with no surprise, worked the hardest, and he seemed equal to all of the animals strengths together. Well, he wants to stick to his mottoes! The Seven Commandments are being broken. Napoleon wants to trade with the humans, using a guy called Mr. Whymper. Napoleon gave another stupid excuse by saying that against trading and using money was the lies circulated by Snowball. Well, the other animals seem proud of the trading because Napoleon is actually giving orders to the human. Now, even more worse things happened. The pigs moved into the farmhouse and took up their residence there. A second Commandment broken. Well, more stupid excuses.. Also, they slept in beds. And well, Squealer had edited the Commandments, he added two more words for the rule against beds. The other animals all worked like slaves for the windmill. I don't believe it will help us in our work. Well, one day all the animals found the windmill all in ruins, because of the gale during the night. Napoleon blamed it on Snowball, he clearly wants to spoil Snowballs reputation. He even pronounced death sentence on Snowball, with a reward involved. Actually, I don't think that he will give the reward, even if we find or kill Snowball.

After The Expulsion Of Snowball

Well, Snowball was a good leader, a pity he had to disappear. Napoleon and his right hand man, Squealer, gave us all sorts of rubbish explanations and reasons as to why Snowball was expelled. And great, my good friend Boxer, came up with a dumber motto, which is "Napoleon is always right". How stubborn and blur can he get? I'm starting to lose all my hope on the farm. Worse, animals are treated even more unequal now, now that the pigs and the dogs sat at a separate place from us. I can the conditions of our lives going down from here. Now, Napoleon wants to build the windmill. He stole Snowball's plans. Napoleon is such a cunning pig, he steals plans and ideas instead of working for the plans and trying out how to build it up. Another of Napoleons stupid excuses is that the plans for the windmill was stolen from him by Snowball. Napoleon said it was his own creation. Napoleon and Squealer uses all sorts of funny threats and words to make us animals (except me) confused, words and tactics, and dogs to growl threateningly to make the animals afraid.

Snowball Expelled

I heard from Clover that Mollie was getting really troublesome and he was betraying the animals as she went to Foxwood to let Mr. Pilkington stroke her nose. Well, I am not surprised, considering the kind of character Mollie has. More debates between Napoleon and Snowball, and although Snowball was getting all the support as he was very active in the Farm, Napoleon was so evil as to interrupt him by making all the sheep go "Four legs good, two legs bad" during the crucial moments. That is why I say that Napoleon would be our leader as Snowball is too naive and kind-hearted and Napoleon would soon rule over him with his cunning. Snowball had this "good" plan to build a windmill to help us work with a saw, chaff-cutter, blah blah blah. I do not believe it will help as at all. Well, undoubtedly, Napoleon would go against it, and he says that we should increase the amount of food we have. When it was time to vote for who was best, I did not vote, as I do not believe life would improve, and it will go on badly. Halfway through, Napoleon suddenly uttered a high pitched whimper which I am very sure I have not heard before, and suddenly enormous dogs come out from outside and attacked Snowball. Snowball obviously run for his life, and he was gone. So that was why Napoleon took Bluebell and Jessie's puppies. To train and grow up bodyguards for himself.

Battle Of The Cowshed

Snowball and Napoleon sent our flights of pigeons across the country to spread the story of the Rebellion, and teach them the tune of "Beasts of England". Obviously, the humans are all really scared of Animal Farm now. Soon, humans from Foxwood and Pinchfield came to Animal Farm with sticks, Jones carrying a gun. I had expected this, but so did Snowball. As I said, Snowball was a pretty good leader although there was no equality. He studied Julius Caesar's campaigns, he gave his orders, and he was a brilliant strategist who tricked the humans into thinking that they had won. I also played a part in the battle, I was in the second line of attack, as planned by Snowball. Snowball ambushed the humans in the cowshed, and he actually dashed straight for Jones, and he did not stop when he got grazed by the pellets from Jones's gun. My friend Boxer, actually thought he killed a stable-lad from Foxwood. He only knocked him till he was stunned. Well, but he actually made the turning point of the battle; the humans were so frightened that they retreated. A few animals went missing during the battle, Mollie, the cat and actually most of the pigs including Napoleon. My friend Boxer received the medal "Animal Hero, First Class" for his bravery in the battle.

Development Of The Farm

Soon,.my good friend, Boxer, made a personal motto for himself, which is, "I will work harder". I feel it is not really a good motto, as it makes him overworked and something bad might happen to him. But what can I do? I know Boxer, he is a really stubborn horse. Currently, the lives of the animals SEEM to be better, but I know that it will drop drastically later. For now, Snowball has made a flag for Animal Farm, which was green with a hoof and a horn. Also, Napoleon and Snowball were never in agreement during the debates, which was on every Sunday. These two are obviously on a struggle for power and leadership over the farm. Snowball made Animal Committees, which, unsurprisingly, failed. Snowball made the Seven Commandments into one sentence, which is "Four legs good, two legs bad." I knew there would be a shortening of the Commandments, as the animals are not very bright and they have really bad memory. Some can't even remember what were the days of Jones like. Later, the pigs explained why the stole the milk. They said it was for their brainpower to help them manage the farm. HaHaHa...
I wonder if I should actually tell all the animals that what the pigs are saying is all rubbish.

More Happenings

Snowball made up the Seven Commandments for Animal Farm. It was pretty good, except that I do not think that the animals would actually obey the Commandments properly, or worse, will the self-centred pigs actually obey their own made Commandments? After that, we went to the hayfield to harvest, and Napoleon stayed back saying that he will "take care" of the milk. The milk actually disappeared when we came back, and it is obvious to me that the pigs had took the milk. I knew Napoleon was not a good leader, and I also know that our lives in the farm will be as bad as ever.

After The Rebellion

After the Rebellion, two pigs called Snowball and Napoleon came in the Farm and started to lead us. Yes, I said lead us. We do not have any freedom to govern ourselves, which is the irony of the whole Rebellion. Snowball, even though he's leading us, is actually a rather good leader. He takes care of us well and treats everyone equal, just what we all wanted. Napoleon on the other side, he actually doesn't do much, he just acts as a leader but does not play a big part in helping out the Farm. For some reason, I have a feeling that Napoleon is a threat to our Farm, and will cause our downfall.

Rebellion

The Rebellion has happened! I didn't think that the Rebellion would actually happen. I thought that the meeting with Old Major would not change anything, and that everything would still remain the same. Actually, I think that it is our hunger that drove us into the Rebellion. The humans did not feed us for almost a day, so we could not stand it anymore and we helped ourselves to the food. While in the process, we actually drove out all the humans - Mr. Jones and his wife, and also the tale-bearer, Moses. We were now free in the farm, able to rule over ourselves, for now...

Pre-Rebellion

Today we all gathered in the barn to listen to the dream Old Major had to say. He encouraged us to rebel against the humans, to be free animals of the farm. He also taught us a song called "Beasts of England". It was quite a nice song. I wonder when the rebellion would actually happen. But, whatever happens, I actually do believe that nothing will ever change. Things will still remain the same, which is - labourious.
